This zoo is nothing compared to the san francisco zoo.They do have some rare animals but my 4 year old didn't really enjoyed. He was looking forward to see some elephants and giraffes. He enjoyed the rides though.

This zoo has a very small selection of birds, monkeys, and other small animals. They have some very nice playground and picnic areas, as well as a small fast food store. I would recommend bringing your own snack and lunch for your children because the price for food here is quite high. Also, don't expect to see large animals here like elephants, lions, giraffes, etc., because you won't find them here. My children were actually a little disappointed because they couldn't see those types of large animals here. One plus point, though, is the fact that they have discount ticket days(I believe the second Tues. of the month where admission is only $1 or $2). Call in advance or check out the website because I am not positive about exactly which days the discount is in effect.
